Colin Campbell led the Mariners with two goals and one assist while Kyle Campbell added one goal and two assists.
Rodney Mahoney (powerplay) opened the scoring at 13:08 to give the Mariners a 1-0 lead after the first period. Mitchell Deruelle (unassisted) scored at 1:41 to tie the game at 1-1. C. Campbell (powerplay) scored at 3:12 to regain the lead for Yarmouth at 2-1. Paul Lamoureux (penalty shot) scored at 16:08 to extend the lead to 3-1 after the second period. K. Campbell (game winner) scored at 15:11 to increase the lead to 4-1. John Mullally scored at 17:12 to narrow the lead to 4-2. Bruce Hornbrook scored 43 seconds later at 17:55 to cut the lead to 4-3. C. Campbell (empty net, second goal of game) rounded out the scoring at 19:18.
Yarmouth went 2 for 3 on the powerplay while Pictou County went 0 for 7.
Chase Gaudet stopped 32 of 35 shots for the win while Brandon Thibeau stopped 22 of 26 shots in the loss.
