John Mullally led the Crushers with 2 goals and 1 assist while Kyle Morrison led the Bearcats with 2 goals and 3 assists.
Morrison opened the scoring at 1:03 to give the Bearcats an early 1-0 lead. Mullally scored at 3:58 to tie the game at 1-1. Morrison (powerplay, second goal of game) scored 55 seconds later at 4:53 to regain the lead for Truro at 2-1. Tyler Doyle scored 14 seconds after that at 5:06 to even the score at 2-2. Travis Fernley scored at 7:16 to retake the lead for the Bearcats at 3-2 . Mitchell Shewfelt (powerplay) scored at 19:27 to deadlock the game at 3-3 after the first period. Fernley (second goal of game) scored at 12:07 to give Truro the lead once again at 4-3. Mullally (second goal of game) scored at 14:22 to make the score 4-4. Nick Parker scored at 16:03 to give the Crushers their first lead of the game at 5-4 after the second period. Andrew Graham (game winner) scored at 1:51 to extend the lead to 6-4. Jordan Coccimigilio (powerplay) scored at 8:22 to cut the lead to 6-5 but that would be as close as Truro would get.
Pictou County went 1 for 2 on the powerplay while Truro went 2 for 6.
Brandon Thibeau stopped 29 of 34 shots for the win while Shayne Campbell (40:00) stopped 13 of 18 shots before being replaced by Jacob Fancy. Fancy (19:00) stopped 3 of 4 shots in the loss.
