PICTOU COUNTY – The atom A Crushers are coming off of two competitive weekends of hockey. This past weekend they split a home-and-home series with Truro. The Crushers fell 5-3 on Saturday in Truro, with Ryan MacKay, Covey Cameron and Jack Marshall each scoring a goal. Myles Farnsworth added an assist, with Jacob Fraser playing well in goal.
At home on Sunday the Crushers rebounded for a 5-4 victory. Andrew Goswell led the attack with two goals and an assist with Nick MacInnis helping out with a goal and three assists. Jack Marshall and Noah Wilkinson each fired a single tally, with Iain Horton adding one helper. Keigan Walker played well between the pipes for the win.
Last week the Crushers travelled to Moncton to take part in their annual tournament, coming away with a win, tie and a loss. In the win, 3-0 over Bedford, Goswell had two goals and an assist with Marshall adding a goal and two assists. In the tie, 2-2 with Dieppe, Kale MacLaughlin and Dominic Bond scored with Covey Cameron, Kenyon Greene and Wilkinson adding assists.
In the loss, 6-5 to Charlottetown, MacInnis and Goswell led the attack with a goal and two assists each, while Bond, Marshall, and Hudson Cameron had a goal and an assist each. Wilkinson added one helper.
