Peewee AAA Crushers eliminated from Spud after round-robin

PICTOU COUNTY - The Ballantyne Fuels peewee AAA Crushers traveled to Charlottetown this past weekend, going 2-1-0 in the 2013 Spud AAA Tournament.  The Crushers defeated the Northwestern Bulls in their first game 3-1.  Scoring for the Crushers were Ben Callaghan, Oliver Schnare and Mason Hawley, with assists going to Liam Fraser-Thompson, Evan Callaghan, and Michael MacGillivray.  Andrew MacLeod was named game MVP.

The Crushers faced the Moncton Hawks in Game 2, winning 4-1. Scoring for the Crushers were Kevin Mason with a hat trick and Schnare with assists to Ryan MacLennan.  Kevin Mason was named game MVP.

The Crushers lost 5-3 to the Summerside Capitals in their third game, which eliminated them from the crossover round. Scoring for the Crushers were Kevin Mason and Schnare with assists to Matthew Chediac. Chediac was named game MVP.

The Crushers will face off against the Acadia Axemen this weekend in a home-and-home series.
