Flames claim MacDonald off waivers

CALGARY - Pictou's Joey MacDonald was claimed off of waivers from the Detroit Red Wings today by the Calgary Flames.

Last season with the Red Wings he played in 14 games, posting an 8-5-1 record, with a 0.912 save percentage.

MacDonald also spent 26 games with the Red Wings AHL affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins. He was 11-11-3, posting a 2.63 GAA and a 0.913 save percentage.
