Scotians beat Pirates

In Trenton last night Brandon Verge fired a hat trick to pace the Pictou County Scotians to a 6-4 win over the Strait Pirates. Verge also chipped in with two assists. Mitch Watters, Lucas Eshelman and Nick Hodgson all fired singles for Pictou. Eshelman picked up four assists.

Evan Wright fired a pair while John Janiec and Jarrett Martell had single markers for Port Hawkesbury. Wright also had an assist while Americo Pino chipped in with three assists.

Jake McKendry picked up his second win for the Jr. Miners while Keagan Butler took the loss.

Final shots were 44-36 Glace Bay.

Game three is in Trenton Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
