STELLARTON – In Stellarton Town Hockey Gennoes Flyers won both games last week, 7-4 over both oppoents.
They opened the week with a win over K-Lee Optical. Chris Smith (3), Steve Austin, Kyle Patchett, Jeff Earle and Nick Roddick scored against K-Lee for the Flyers. Responding for K-Lee were Trevor Martin, Pott, Andrew Heighton and Craig Clarke.
In their second game of the week they defeated Original Sams. Dave Green and Mike Ferguson had three goals apiece while Patchett rounded out the scoring for the Flyers. Dave Hood scored all four Original Sams goals.
K-Lee optical bounced back in their second game defeating Can-Connect 5-2. Ryan White scored three, while Martin potted a pair. Jay Campbell scored the lone Can-Connect goals.
In Can-Connect’s other game earlier in the week they defeated Bob Allens 9-7. Alex Grant (2), Stephan Fancy (2), Mitch Waters (2), Sean Parnell, Allister Jordan and Reigo Carter scored for Can-Connect. Dennis Fanning (3), Derrick MacLean (2), Jonathan Stone and Chris Tellum scored for Bob Allens.
The other Bob Allens game saw them defeat Original Sams 9-2. Rory Fanning (2), Wade Sullivan (2), Mark Jackson, Tellum, Dennis Fanning, MacLean and Stone scored for Bob Allens. Jarrod Thorne (2), Jason MacKinnon, Hood and Ross MacKenzie score the Sams goals.
