Art Hafey honoured for as boxing ambassador

On March 2, the National Boxing Authority recognized Trenton's own Art 'The Toy Tiger'  Hafey as their 'International Boxing Ambassador' in appreciation of his accomplishments in the sport of boxing. Recently, Hafey was also the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary "Toy Tiger" directed by Brad Little.  National Boxing Authority president Jerry Doiron-Gould (right) presents Art Hafey (left) with a plaque symbolizing the Trenton resident's status as "International Boxing Ambassador". SUBMITTED

    Conrats Art! I saw the video and this man is definetely the best athlete to come outta Pictou County. Fighting non-stop in his boxing career, he became known as the Mexican Assassin and it was well deserved. He is very deserving off this award and a very humble man.
