After defeating the Bridgewater Lumberjacks in two games, the Weeks Jr. A Crushers kick off their series with the Truro Bearcats in Truro tonight.
Garrett Holmes knows it won't be an easy series.
The Bearcats, gearing up to host the Fred Page Cup this year, finished the regular season in first place in the Eastlink Division with 81 points.
"We're trying not to look at it that way," Holmes said. They're just another team in the way of us getting to the Fred Page Cup."
He said, in reality, both teams are similar and work hard for their wins.
Daniel MacLeod said he is looking forward to the series and is feeling confident after their win against the Lumberjacks.
"If we play our style of game and play to our potential, it'll definitely be a good series," MacLeod said.
Both players said they are hoping to see a lot of local faces in the crowd.
With the series between the two teams in the past, a large number of fans historically make the trip.
MacLeod it's nice, particularly when you score, to hear fans cheering for you.
"It definitely gives you a lot more energy."
Tonight's game will be held at 7 p.m. at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre. Game 2 will be at the Pictou County Wellness Centre at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
