CAMPBELLTON - Coming off a 10-0 thrashing of the Lumberjacks yesterday, the Weeks Crushers continued their winning ways today with a 3-2 victory over the Campbellton Tigers.
Brandon Parsons led the Crushers with two goals, while Brandon Thibeau made 20 saves in goal to get the win.
The Tigers opened the scoring 12:19 into the first period with a goal by Sam Castonguay, with assists to Brandon McMartin and Alex White.
That was the lone goal of the period.
Andrew Graham tied the game 4:02 into the second period. David Stephens and Daniel MacLeod drew assists on the play.
Parsons scored his first of the game at the 10:26 mark, with Garrett Holmes and Lucas Blomquist assisting.
The eventual game-winning goal was scored by Parsons at the 12:31 mark, with assists by Evan Carmody and Holmes.
Dylan Bowerman scored before the end of the period for Campbellton, to cut the lead to one. Neither team scored in the final frame, with the game ending 3-2.
Miquel Sullivan made 32 saves in the loss.
Saturday night the Weeks Crushers are in Miramichi for their third game in three days.
