TRURO – The Truro Bearcats will be hosting a historic game for the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League.
The 12-team circuit’s first showcase will be played Dec. 28 at 4 p.m. at RECC, bringing together the top bantam players from across the province on a pair of all-star squads.
“The Bearcats are excited to bring this level of play to the area over the Christmas holidays,” Bearcats president Jon Stanfield said. “There is a lot of hard work and planning that goes into this type of event and we are fortunate to be the host of the inaugural showcase.”
Tickets are $5 while kids under 10 will be admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the game.
Teams will be divided into North and South squads with at least two representatives from each club. Players will practice in the morning then have team photos and pre-game meals together before the puck drops.
