NEW GLASGOW - In Fundy Highland peewee A action this weekend the local Crusher squad managed two 5-2 wins against the Brookfield Elks scoring four unanswered third period goals in each game to power their way to victory.

“Not the way we planned it,” said coach Albert Clements after Sunday’s game. “A little too dramatic for my liking but it’s always exciting for the fans.”

Five different players shared the scoring on Saturday with Ben MacGillivary, Ian MacDonald, Munro MacKay, Blake Fraser and Luke Young denting the twine. Assists went to Evan Shea, Duncan Cameron and MacKay.

Sunday’s game in Brookfield was much the same as the Crushers came from behind once again in the third period to break the hearts of the Brookfield faithful in attendance.

Picking up a pair apiece to lead the attack were: MacDonald and Young. Adding the final goal was MacGillvary, assists went to Fraser, Decoste and Cameron.
