Weeks Crushers slip to 12th in CJHL rankings

CALGARY – The Pictou County Weeks Junior A Crushers slipped from 10th to 12th in the CJHL Top 20 rankings this week.

With only one game last week, the Crushers defeated the Amherst Ramblers 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday.

Nick Parker scored twice, while Mitchell Deruelle scored once for Pictou County in regulation. Jordan McInnis scored the lone shootout marker, with Brandon Thibeau picking up his 13th win of the season.

The Dieppe Commandos remained at 19th after winning their lone game of the week 7-6 over the Woodstock Slammers on Saturday night.

Both teams remain neck-and-neck for top spot in the MHL, but they are closely chased by the Truro Bearcats, Yarmouth Mariners and Miramichi Timberwolves.
