AMHERST - Stormy weather shortened the weekend for the Anchor Motors peewee AA Crushers. On Saturday, the Crushers travelled to Amherst to face the Ramblers.

The Crushers did not bring their best game and spotted the Ramblers a 6-0 lead after two periods. The Crushers did regain their focus and played a better third, with the game ending in a 7-1 victory for the Ramblers.

The lone Crusher highlight came when, late in the third period, defenceman Lucas Leblanc pinched along the wall, then flipped a beautiful saucer pass to his defence partner Ethan MacIntosh. MacIntosh took two steps towards the net and let go a low wrist shot.  The Rambler goalie kicked out the shot, but Ethan MacDonald was positioned perfectly and banged in the rebound to break the Rambler shutout.

Cody MacDougall played most of the game between the pipes, with Vaughn MacEachern helping to shoulder the load for a stretch late in the second period and early third.
