CALGARY – New Glasgow’s Derrick Walser was one of seven players named to the 2013 Spengler Cup roster yesterday that helped them win their 12th championship last year.

The championship runs Dec. 26-31 in Davos, Switzerland with Canada opening the tournament against HC Vitkovice Steel (Czech Republic) at 3:15 p.m. AST.

Also in the Cattini Group with Canada is HC Davos (Switzerland). CSKA Moscow, HC Genève-Servette (Switzerland) and the Rochester Americans (AHL) are in the Torriani Group.

    Nice for Derrick although I hate watching players and officials skating around like living billboards...even on their butts. Kind of pitiful.
