CALGARY – With only one game last week, which the Pictou County Weeks Crushers won 3-0 over the Truro Bearcats, they stayed at 17th in the nation this week.

The Crushers have been steadily declining in the national rankings, although they continue to win hockey games and are currently on a five-game win streak. They fell from 10th to 12th before their fall to 17th on Dec. 16 after winning three games that week.

They have a 22-4-4 record at the break and sit atop the MHL standings by eight points over the Truro Bearcats and Dieppe Commandos.

Jan. 6 the rankings will return, with none next Monday. The Crushers only have one game before then, hosting the CIBC Wood Gundy Lumberjacks on Jan. 4.
