WOLFVILLE – In another weather-shortened weekend, the Anchor Motors peewee AA Crushers traveled to Acadia University to face the Acadia Axemen.

The first period was played evenly, with neither team able to convert their chances.

The second period brought more of the same, with the goaltenders stealing the show.

With 11 minutes left in the game, Kyle Reim carried the puck behind the Axemen goal, reversed his direction to shake a defender, and then fed the puck to Ben MacDonald in the slot, who chipped the puck into the top of the net. With six minutes left to play and the Crushers killing a penalty, Spencer Murray grabbed the puck, slipped into the Axemen zone and scored a short-handed goal to put the Crushers up by two.

Vaughn MacEachern was able to turn aside the rest of the shots to earn his second shutout of the season.
