The team of Eileen MacKenzie, Cindy Perrin, Gary Perrin and Colin MacEachren (skip) scored a rare eight-ender this past Friday night Jan. 17, 2014 at the Westville Curling Club. In the third end MacEachern planned a triple-raise double takeout to score eight. His shot narrowly passed by the front guard to help achieve the amazing feat. Eight-enders are extremely rare in competitive curling and are recognized by the Canadian Curling Association. The last known “snowman” in Westville was in 1973.
