Anchor Motors peewee AA Crushers tie, lose at Dieppe tourney

DIEPPE – The Anchor Motors peewee AA Crushers were in action at the 41st Dieppe Memramcook Tournament this past weekend, leaving with two ties and one loss.  

On Friday, the Crushers tied the Pownal Red Devils 3-3. 

Scoring for Pictou County were: Brycen MacDaonald, Ben MacDonald and Logan MacKay, while Cal Maxner and Jayden Hatchard picked up assists.

Cody MacDougall played the complete game between the pipes for the Crushers, with MacKay being named their game MVP.

Up against the Dieppe-Memramcook Aigles on Saturday morning the Crushers fell 4-1.  

Dylon Francis was named the game MVP with the lone Pictou County goal, while Spencer Murray had the assist on the play. Vaughn MacEachern was between the pipes for the Crushers.

That night they had another game end in a 3-3 tie, this time against the Kennebecasis Valley Hawks. 

Brycen MacDonald, Hatchard and Ben MacDonald scored for Pictou County with MacKay and Murray picking up assits.

MacEachern and MacDougall split the game in goal. Hatchard was named the game MVP.
