Peewee AAA Crushers lose doubleheader to South Shore

BRIDGEWATER – The Ballantyne Fuels peewee AAA Crushers lost both games in a doubleheader with the South Shore Sharks in Bridgewater over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Crushers got off to a shaky start falling behind 4-0 after the first period. The squad settled in for the final two periods and lost 6-1.

Scoring the lone unassisted goal for the locals was Blake Kontuk. Keigan Walker was between the pipes.

On Sunday, the Crushers fell behind 4-1 after two, but came out strong in the third eventually losing 4-3.

Scoring were Kontuk (2) and Connor MacLeod.

Zach Houston, Nole Chapman and Spencer Creed earned assists. Brayden LeBlanc was in goal. 

Pictou County next sees action on the weekend when they travel to Prince Edward Island to participate in the SPUD Tournament.
