Midget AA Bulldogs tied for third in provincial league

ANTIGONISH – The Antigonish female midget AA Bulldogs played three games this weekend, starting with a double-header with the Bedford Blues on Saturday.

In the first game, Antigonish came out on top with a 1-0 win. While on the power play, Katelyn Dunn of New Glasgow passed the puck to Rachael Bekkers, who took a shot from the point that was tipped in the net by Emma Boudreau. Breanna MacDonald got the shutout.

The Bulldogs were defeated 1-0 in the second game.

On Sunday the Bulldogs faced the Dartmouth Whalers in Shearwater, coming out on the losing end of a 5-1 game. Scoring for Antigonish was Bekkers, unassisted, on the power play.

The Bulldogs are tied for third place with the Blues in the provincial female midget AA league.
