Atom AA Crushers wrap up season in Windsor

NEW GLASGOW – The Pictou County atom AA Crushers finished off their season at the Birthplace of Hockey Tournament in Windsor where they faced stiff competition against some of the top teams with a short bench. 

In the first game, the Crushers were up against the provincial-bound Western Valley team. With a hat-trick from Covey Cameron, and singles from Tanner Steele and Cameron MacKinnon, the Crushers had a well-earned 5-3 victory.

Assists went to Cale MacLaughlin, MacKinnon, Myles Farnsworth, Ian Reynolds, and Cameron. Goalies Jacob Fraser and Michael Law split the game, while Fraser was named the player of the game. 

The second game against Acadia resulted in a 6-1 loss for the Crushers. Cameron, the player of the game, scored the lone goal assisted by Cameron Young and Camden Kelly. Law and Fraser split the game between the pipes.

Against West Hants in their third game the Crushers fell 4-2.

Steele and MacKinnon scored for the Crushers with two assists going to Cale Archibald.  MacKinnon received the player of the game award. Fraser started the game in goal, while Law came in for the remainder of the game.
