Trenton Trojans

The Trenton mini boys basketball team captured the provincial banner this weekend with a 39-26 victory over Dartmouth. Dartmouth jumped out to an early 15-8 lead but the Trojans swarming defence created havoc en route to a 12-0 run to enter halftime ahead 20-15. The second half proved to be more of the same as the Trojans defence took over and the boys cruised home with the victory. The leading scorers for the weekend were: Brandon Campbell, Nick MacInnis, Ben Turnbull and Jared Fraser. The Trojans top defenders for the weekend were Brady Campbell, Zac Baillie, Logan Taylor and Erik Ferguson. MacInnis was named tournament MVP, while Campbell was named to the all-star team.
