NEW GLASGOW -The Truro Bearcats edged the Pictou County Weeks Crushers 4-3 Saturday night in Truro in Game 3 of their best-of-seven EastLink Division final series.
With the win the Bearcats now lead the series 3-0 heading into Game 4 on Sunday night at the Wellness Centre.
Daniel Poliziani led the Bearcats with two goals, Kyle Tibbo added a goal and an assist. Mitchell Deruelle and David Stephens led the Crushers with a goal and an assist each.
Poliziani opened the scoring at 2:33 to give the Bearcats an early 1-0 lead. Garret Holmes scored at 3:39 to tie the game at 1-1. Deruelle scored at 8:24 to give the Crushers a 2-1 lead. Tibbo scored at 11:13 to even the score at 2-2 after the first period.

Stephens (power play) scored at 1:06 to regain the lead for Pictou County at 3-2. Poliziani (second goal of game) scored at 11:38 to knot the score at 3-3. Daniel Perigo (unassisted, game winner) scored at 12:43 to give Truro a 4-3 lead after the second period.
There was no third period scoring.
Truro went 0 for 6 on the powerplay while Pictou County went 1 for 3.
Chris Festarini stopped 29 of 32 shots for the win while Brandon Thibeau stopped 33 of 37 shots in the loss.
