Strong goaltending key in Stars road results

NEW GLASGOW – In Atlantic Hockey Group Spring Hockey Prospects Series action the peewee Tier 2 North Nova Stars remained undefeated picking up a win and a tie over the weekend at the Halifax Forum.

In the first game Ryan Royles earned his second shutout in two weeks, winning 7-0 over the Senators. Clark Robertson led the way offensively with a hat-trick and two assists.

Ian MacDonald had two goals and an assist, Ryan Farrell had a goal and two assists, while Brycen MacDonald added a single goal. Broden DeCoff picked up two assists and Keegan Murray added one.

Wesley Kelly was superb in net allowing one goal in a 1-1 tie against the Bedford Oilers, the Stars second game of the weekend. The lone goal was scored Munro MacKay, with assists to Dylon Francis and Bailey MacKay.

The Stars are next in action Sunday, May 4 at the BMO Centre.
