Stars split weekend in Atlantic Hockey Group play

NEW GLASGOW – The peewee Tier 2 North Nova Stars came away with a win and a loss last weekend in Atlantic Hockey Group Spring Hockey Prospects Series at the BMO Centre.

In the first game, the Stars won 4-3 over Acadia Wild. Marcus MacIvor, Brycen MacDonald, Munro MacKay and Ian MacDonald scored a goal apiece. Clark Robertson and Ryan Farrell had two assists each, while Broden DeCoff, Kenyon Greene and Burke Murray earned 1 assist.

The Stars had a 2-0 lead in the second game of the weekend, but ending up losing 3-2 to the TASA Flames. TASA scored the winning goal on the power play with nine seconds to play. Ian MacDonald scored the first goal unassisted. Aaren MacDonald scored the second Stars goal with assists going to Munro MacKay and Bailey MacKay.

Their next game is Saturday in Sackville.
