Peewee Stars win back-to-back games in Sackville

LWR. SACKVILLE – On the weekend the peewee Northern Nova Stars won two games at the Sackville Sports Stadium, defeating the Dartmouth Sharks 2-1 and the HRM Pink Panthers 6-3.

In the first game Munro MacKay scored the Stars first goal, assisted by Marcus MacIvor.

Brycen MacDonald scored the game-winning goal in the second, assisted by Ryan Farrell.

The Stars fell behind 3-1 early in the second game, before scoring five straight goals. Burke Murray led the attack scoring two goals and assisting on one. Clark Robertson and Brycen MacDonald had a goal and assist each, with Ian MacDonald and Aaren MacDonald adding single tallies.

Broden DeCoff and Ryan Farrell also earned assists in the win. The Stars finished the round-robin portion of the season with a 6-1-3 record.  

Next weekend they will be competing for the championship banner at the Sackville Sports Stadium.
