HALIFAX – Enfield’s Shawn Turple began 2014 the way he ended 2013 – in Victory Lane at Scotia Speedworld.
Turple made the final pass for the lead on defending series champion John Flemming on Lap 64 after the two battled in close quarters for many laps in the Harry Poole Memorial 100.
Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, N.B.) picked up where he left off in 2013 by finishing third, ahead of a handful of cars battling for fourth and fifth behind him as Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, N.S.) and Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, N.S.) got by Greg Proude (Springvale, P.E.I.) on the last lap to round out the top five.
The next event for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is the Irving Blending & Packaging 100 on Saturday, May 31 at Petty International Raceway at 6 p.m. Tickets will be available at the gate on race day.
