NEW GLASGOW - The Pictou County Weeks Crushers wasted no time as the trade window opened Monday leading up to the MHL's AGM and draft.
Weeks acquired defenceman Justin McDonald from the Dieppe Commandos for a third round pick in 2014, fourth round pick in 2015 and future considerations.
A native of Moncton who is entering his 20-year-old season in the league, McDonald has spent the last three seasons with the Commandos. In 125 regular season games over that span, McDonald posted 17 goals and 46 assists.
Last year he registered 16 points in 39 regular season games, as well as eight points in 14 playoff games.

The due date for submittal of protected lists for all teams leading into the MHL Entry Draft and County Aces expansion draft is June 1.
