37th annual Run for the Lobster fast approaching

PICTOU – Usually part of the Pictou Lobster Carnival weekend, this year’s Run for the Lobster will take place a week before on July 6.

The run includes 5k and 10k events.

Race kit pickup is between 7:30 and 8:30 at the Advocate Printing parking lot on Browns Point Road. This is where the race will start from as opposed to the CN Station as in past years.

Registration costs $27 for Run Nova Scotia members and $30 for the general public. For the first 500 runners the fee includes computerized chip timing, personalized bibs, dry fit running hat, finishing medals, refreshments as well as pre and post race snacks.

There will also be student challenge, which is free for students 16 and under, although there is a limit of 150 students.
