The New Glasgow Kinsmen Dairy Queen Blizzards defeated the Windsor
Knights in both ends of a double-header on Saturday.
In game one the Blizzards won by a score of 13-2 behind a strong pitching performance by Max MacCallum, who threw a complete game while striking out five batters.
Scott Long led the way at the plate with a three-run homer. Raymond Lowe-Chisholm had a triple while Sam Hickey added a single. In game two the Blizzards bats came alive in a 22-5 victory.
Top hitters for New Glasgow were Luke Young, Nick MacInnis, Long and Lowe-Chisholm with three hits apiece. Jayden Hatchard and Nick Horne helped out with a pair of hits each. MacInnis struck out six Knights on the mound for the
Blizzards in the victory. The Blizzards travel to Truro for a Friday night game this week.
