Turnbull named alternate captain of development team

CALGARY – Stellarton’s Blayre Turnbull was named an alternate captain of Canada’s national women’s development team on Wednesday.

She is joined by captain Erin Ambrose (Keswick, Ont.) and alternates Sarah Lefort (Ormstown, Que.) and Halli Kryzaniak (Neepawa, Man.).

This announcement comes three days after she was named to the 22-player development team roster.

The development team is currently preparing for their series against the United States U-22 team, which starts Thursday and concludes Sunday.
