NEW?GLASGOW - A new fundraiser by the Aberdeen Hospital Ladies Auxiliary brought in more than $8,500.
The fundraiser - which featured a limo ride to Hebel's restaurant and a five-course dinner for four - was a first for the auxiliary and was part of the organization's goal to offer a different sort of experience for Pictou County residents.
"We're very pleased with the results," said Fran Harris. "For a small area and being in the summer time, I think we did OK."
All of the funds will go directly to the hospital.
"We were only 12 tickets short of our goal, so we did well."
Inaugural fundraiser for auxiliary deemed a tasty success
