The Weeks Crushers are now accepting registrations for their annual summer youth development hockey camp.

This year’s camp will run from Aug. 20–24 and will feature a new and improved format. Participants can expect a high instructor to participant ratio for all on-ice and off-ice sessions.

Off-ice sessions will include both informative classroom sessions and fitness sessions at the YMCA, including gymnasium and pool time. Cost of the camp is $300 per child, which includes meals or $270 without meals provided.

Camp staff will be comprised of members of the Weeks Crushers coaching staff and players. Players already confirmed as instructors include Nick Parker, Bruce Hornbrook, Cody Squires, Devan Gunn and local Crusher players Garrett Holmes, Corey Bennett and Daniel MacLeod.

Special guest instructors are still being confirmed, but several can be expected throughout the week. For more information and to register, visit the Weeks Crushers website at and download the registration form.

Also this summer, the Crushers will once again be holding their 4-on-4 Elite Summer Conditioning League. The league will consist of two divisions, 12 and under for novice advanced and atom aged players and 14 and under for peewee and first-year bantam aged players.

This summer all players must register as part of team, which includes a minimum of 8 skaters, a goalie and one coach.  The league is set to begin the week of Aug. 14 and will run until Sept. 6 so it will not interfere with any PCMHA events. Registration forms can be found on the Crushers website. The league will be accepting teams on a first come, first serve basis so contact your friends and teammates and register a team. The deadline for the 4-on-4 registration is July 20.
