Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening every week, you'll find Devon Sutton and Evan Peel at the same place - the Albion Boxing Club in Trenton.
The pair are part of the Canada Games core team and are practising their punches so that they will be ready for when the Canada Winter Games are played in Halifax.
Peel has been with the club for four years and has experience in the ring.
"It's frightening at first but then you get used to it," he said.
Sutton is more of a newcomer to the sport, but is hoping to enter the ring for his first real match later this fall.
"My friend was boxing and it looked like fun so I decided to join," Sutton said.
He said he had no idea when he started that he would be able to compete in the Canada Games.
"When I came here (coach) Jim (Worthen) told me I was the perfect age for the Canada Games team so I was kind of excited about that," Sutton said.
Worthen said both boys are strong boxers and should do well in the Games.
The Albion Boxing Club just opened last week for their 21st season. The club generally has between 10 and 20 and students at a time and right now have openings.
"If anybody is interested in joining the club they can drop by Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. to check out the operation," Worthen said.
They accept anyone 10 years old and above, male or female.
Over the last two decades the club has built a strong reputation for itself, he said.
"We've got a very long list of international, national and provincial champions," he said. "We're recognized across Canada as a solid organization."
Aside from just learning to compete on a professional level the boxers have fun and learn important character qualities.
"It's about a lifestyle, building self-confidence; it's about learning to work together as a group in a team environment," he said. "It's a lot about life building skills and it's not always about the combat."
