THORBURN - Mark Harroun helped the K-Lee Optical Flyers win the Labatt's Blue Nova League playoffs on Saturday, scoring two goals in a 4-2 triumph over the Frog & Toad Sports Bar and Grill.
For his effort's, Harroun was named MVP of the postseason. Ryan White and Patrick March also scored for the Flyers in the win.
Jerry Berthiaume accounted for all of Frog & Toad's offence, netting a pair of markers in defeat.
K-Lee needed to battle just to reach the championship, escaping an overtime contest with the Stonehouse Sting in the semifinals. That game finished up 3-2, while Frog & Toad edged Whitey's Vikings 5-4.
In Friday's playoff games, Stonehouse defeated Naturally Fit 5-3 and Whitey's downed Big B Carpentry 5-2.
