Feit earns provincial recognition

NEW GLASGOW - A local athlete was recently recognized by Sport Nova Scotia.
Heidi Feit, 15, was chosen as the Cleve's Source for Sports/New Balance female athlete of the month after her showing in the Ontario Open for Judo. Feit attended and competed in the competition, earning a gold medal despite having to work through an illness at the time.
Feit also won gold at the Quebec Open in October, and has qualified to compete with the national team in Germany in March 2010. A Bedford judo athlete, Sean Isnor, 14, was named male athlete of the month.
