Tall tales, on the small stage
All are welcome to join us at the Pictou Library on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. on June 19 for a double-feature puppet show - "The Dragon's Hunt" and "The Elephant's Sneeze!" (For the second show, you may want to bring a really big Kleenex, or wear a raincoat!). For more information please contact the Pictou Library (485-5021).
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit another planet? Then this fun-filled animated family movie may be just the ticket for you. The Friday Night Family Movies at the New Glasgow Library wraps up the season on Friday, June 20 with a 6:30 p.m. screening of “Planet 51.” Astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders...like Chuck. The details about our summer line-up of movies are soon to be released, please stay tuned.
