Approximately 70 grads and guests of New Glasgow High School, Class of 1974, were treated to some of the best Pictou County has to offer on July 3, 4 and 5. They came from British Columbia and Florida and all points in between. For those who hadn’t been in the area for many years, it was a great way to experience the county again.

There was Wine and Cheese on the rooftop deck of The Dock with a beautiful view of the river as the sun set.

There was Amby’s Eats, Pictou County’s resident food truck, which travelled to the banks of the beautiful Northumberland Strait to provide a delicious and unique dining experience.

There was a dinner and dance at Summer Street Industries, without power for a good part of the evening courtesy of Hurricane Arthur, so there was unexpectedly some Pictou County Pizza provided by Acropole. There was great music provided by the talented local duo of Jesse and Derek.

Anyone considering hosting a large event in Pictou County need not worry that there is not enough to offer visitors here. Our guests from the Class of 1974 enjoyed the scheduled events as well as other local attractions – The Wellness Centre, golf courses and beaches, to name a few. The reunion provided a great opportunity to see the county through visitors’ eyes… and what a wonderful county it is!
