Vivian Mac Donald of New Glasgow, left, celebrated her birthday Saturday and was presented with a birthday cake from the Trenton High School Reunion Committee. Jerry Cameron, middle, who also lives in New Glasgow, and Margret Ann Vandewiel from St. Andrews were present for the cake presentation. All three people were former Trenton students. Submitted

The Trenton High School reunion was a great success and came to a close Sunday afternoon at the Trenton Rink, with a delicious pork chop barbecue done by the Stellarton Lions Club.

It was a fun-filled weekend with more than 150 former students recalling their favourite school day stories.

Saturday was a meet-and-greet afternoon with many former teachers as special guests and each one was presented with a corsage. Entertainment for the evening was with former Trenton student Ralph Johnston and his band Narrow Road and special guest Harold Borden, lead singer of the former Blue Cats. They were a leading rock and roll Band of the 1950s and early ’60s.

Students came from four different states in the United States, Ontario,

Calgary and all parts of Nova Scotia.
