Slush Cup brings out the brave, the wacky, the freezing

Six New Glasgow Regional Police members were recently honoured with Police Exemplary Service Medals during a ceremony in Halifax. Shown are Insp. Blair Bannerman, Sgt. Kevin Scott, who received his 30-year medal, Lt.-Gov. J.J. Grant, Const. Kelly Reid, who received her 20-year medal, and Deputy Chief Eric MacNeil, who received his 40-year medal. Not shown are Det. Sgt. Stephen Chisholm (30 years), Sgt. Stephen Curley (30 years) and Const. Terry Jardine (30 years). Sgt. Anthony Chisholm of the Westville Police Service was also among the 26 recipients from across Nova Scotia who attended the ceremony held at the Lieutenant Governor’s residence.
