Pictou County highland dancers attend championship in Bedford

Several Pictou County dancers attended the Citadel Open Championship and Premiership and Pre-Premier Competitions held in Bedford on March 25 and 26.

Their results for pre-premier are:

• Primary 6 – Savannah White: Pas de Basques 8th, Pas de Basques & High Cuts 9th.

• Beginner 7 – Hannah Fleury: Sword 9th.

• Beginner 9 – Abigail White: Sword 6th, Seann Truibhas 7th, Lilt 5th.

• Intermediate 11 &12 – Lauren Hiltz: Fling 2nd, Sword 3rd, Laddie 6th, Reel 5th.

 

The results for the championship are as follows:

• Premier 10 & Under 12 – Amelia Parker: Sword 6th.

• Premier 12 & Under 14 – Annika Murray: Fling 2nd, Sword 2nd, Seann Truibhas 2nd, Reel 3rd.  1st Runner Up trophy winner.

• Premier 14 & Under 16 – Ainslie Salter: Fling 6th, Sword 2nd, Seann Truibhas 4th, Reel 5th.  2nd Runner up trophy winner.

• Premier 16 & Under 18 – Emma Hines: Fling 2nd, Sword 2nd, Seann Truibhas 6th, Reel 3rd.  1st Runner up trophy winner.

• Premier 18 & Over – Allyson Parker: Sword 6th.

 

The results for the premiership are:

• Premier 11 – Amelia Parker: Blue Bonnets 3rd, Village Maid 2nd, Laddie 4th, Hornpipe 4th.  3rd Runner up trophy winner.

• Premier 12 – Annika Murray: Blue Bonnets 1st, Village Maid 2nd, Laddie 1st, Hornpipe 5th, 1st Runner up trophy winner.

• Premier 13 – Rachel Rowan: Laddie 6th, Hornpipe 5th.

• Premier 16 & Over – Emma Hines: Blue Bonnets 6th.
