Trinity Energy Group celebrated its 12th anniversary with their annual open house event and presentation of a $1,000 cheque to Corbin MacDonald, 11. In 2012, Corbin was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a rare genetic disease that affects the motor nervous system. SMA hinders or sometimes takes away the ability to walk eat, and breathe. There are three classifications of the disease; where Corbin is type lll, he still has the ability to walk and do some things on his own. However, he needs assistance to complete most physical tasks such as climbing stairs and moving from a sitting position. Kylea Smeltzer (Corbin’s mother) said Trinity’s donation means a great deal to their family.
