Chocolate eating contest cancelled Breaking News print this article
The News

The Museum of Industry's Guinness World Record chocolate eating contest that was supposed to be held on Saturday has been cancelled.

Denise Taylor, marketing services officer for the museum, says the event was cancelled after only three contestants signed up to participate.

The contest was originally to see how many Ferrero Rocher chocolates one could eat in a minute. The record to beat was five.

Lauren from Peterborough, Ontario writes: 5 in one minute?

Seriously, I could beat that. I'm tempted to walk to the store and buy those and just try it, because I think this must be an early record. A minute is a long time. I learned that in Yellow Submarine.

Roy Mac Donald from Westville, Nova Scotia writes: That just goes to show you how bad Ferrero Rocher chocolates taste. Now if it was Quality Street or Lindt that may have been a different story.

peggy from ns writes: typical Pictou County support huh. No wander there isnt anything to do around here if it doesn't include alcohol no one wants to participate. At the least the Museum tried to do something different .
