Whether Alcorn introduces a jazz number, a contemporary piece, something in the singer-songwriter style or something from her classical repertoire, the audience knows they will be in for a treat, a press release from the series organizer promises.
Alcorn comes with her musicality from both sides of the family; the Alcorns and the Durnings have been part of the musical backbone here for decades. She added another musical connection when she married Declan Martin, a very fine musician in his own right.
Robyn hinted there might be more than one family member joining her on stage for the concert in Alma.
“The evening will be a fun time full of music for sure!” organizer Gwen MacLean says.
Robyn was originally scheduled to play the Green Hill – Alma United Church stage back in December 2016 as part of the winter concert series, but it was postponed by a snowstorm and then by a death in the church community.
“Third time lucky for the audience for sure!”
The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and admission is “pay what you can” with a suggested donation of at least $10.
