PICTOU – A Stellarton man charged with multiple counts of theft-related offences will return to court in November.

Arthur Stuart Baxter, 50, is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, break and enter, possession of property for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possessing break-in tools.

Police allege he had been selling items stolen from a vacant home in Haliburton. Pictou County RCMP recovered a stolen vehicle, a firearm and other stolen goods during a search of the property.

He made a brief court appearance Monday where his lawyer asked the court for an adjournment which was granted until Nov. 20. He will remand on remand until his next court appearance.
