A 42 year-old man was taken to the Aberdeen Hospital Monday evening after the bike he was driving was struck by a car.

New Glasgow Regional Police are investigating the collision that occurred on at the intersection of Abercrombie Road and Willow Avenue, New Glasgow.

The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. 

The lone 32-year-old female driver of a 2006 Toyota Car suffered no injuries.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the cyclist was crossing Abercrombie Road at the intersection of Willow Avenue at the time of the collision.

New Glasgow Fire Department was also on scene and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
