A Caribou fisherman has been fined $750 for not having his log book property filled out during the lobster fishing season.
David George Baird, 58, entered an early guilty plea to the fishing charge Monday in Pictou provincial court. He was charged with not filling out his log book on June 16 and 18 which violates the regulations in his fishing licence.
Baird was charged at the Caribou wharf by fisheries officers who were on site checking lobster catches. They boarded Baird’s boat and asked to see his paperwork for the day’s catch.
