Festival of Tartans has full day of events

A March of the Pipes was held in New Glasgow Saturday as part of the Festival of the Tartans . Pipe bands joined together for the parade from Glasgow Square to Tartan Field where other activities such as the heavy weight games and Highland Dancing competitions are taking place.

The Festival of the Tartans was full steam ahead Saturday with marching bands, Highland dance competitions and heavy weight games all taking place at Tartan Field.  Mass pipes and drums will take place at 4 p.m. and the Kirkin' of the Tartan will be Sunday at the Loch Broom Church.
