Halifax bank robbed by man in a hard hat

HALIFAX, NS - Police are investigating the robbery of a Halifax bank, where a man got away with a sum of money.

On Tuesday, Oct. 10, just after 5 p.m., Halifax Police responded to a call about a robbery at the Royal Bank on Almon St.

A man wearing a hard hat, sunglasses, blue hoodie and jeans approached a teller and demanded cash. After receiving the cash he fled. It’s not known whether a vehicle was involved.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 50s, 5’10” in height, with a white goatee.

No injuries occurred during the incident and no weapon was observed
